Competition Management Council

Mission

To provide a network of competition managers and secretaries to promote quality and compliant dressage competitions.

Goals

1. Provide competition management education
2. Increase the number and quality of recognized competitions.
3. Review and communicate USEF rule change proposals.
4. Provide the appropriate tools and processes for successful competitions.
5. Strengthen the communication between Competition Management and other Councils as well as the USDF office staff.
6. Provide competition management education on the new USDF data system.

Objectives

1. Publish updated Show Biz.
2. Review and revise the Competition Management Checklist, if needed.
3. Review and revise the Spectators Guide to Dressage, if needed.
4. Ongoing development of a show manager/show secretary educational program/seminar, perhaps to be presented regionally to teach the basics of show management.
5. Work with USEF and USDF to reduce the clerk-type work required by show secretaries - working title: Paperwork Reduction Project.
